5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful book for parenting guidance. Teachers need this too!

What a great book. I would describe this as an eclectic compendium addressing how to help your kids, students (if you teach) and yourself to succeed in school and life. The book may be used as a reference to kickstart your child in numerous areas to improve performance, such as logic for taking multiple choice tests. Holistically it also addresses communication and other areas that may serve as barriers to effective learning. Where was this book when I was a student! My mother who was a master teacher would have made me read it no doubt. Parents …..use this as a guide as you proactively “coach” your kids in many areas. Getting a “child” to read it will be the challenge. Teachers…..use this as a teaching plan for mini side lessons in “being the best student”. The book addresses soooo many modern challenges….bullying, too much gaming etc. etc. that will help your awareness as you strive for best parenting practices. Mr. Witte researched and created a great book. I can’t recommend this book strongly enough!!

Well organized and easy read for students and parents alike. A knowledgeable approach not only for how to study but an overall self help book. Thoughtful approach that includes humorous thought provoking stories. Pick a subject from the table of contents for your particular interest or situation.

This is a great reference for parents, students, teachers, grandparents, anyone. This book addresses all kinds of stress that we all experience, it’s called life. The manner in which this is written is like a face to face conversation, no judgment just information. Great book, not one I would read right through but one I would go to, to address individual circumstance

5.0 out of 5 stars Very helpful, perfect for helping kids at home

Ok, i’m biased… it’s my pops who wrote this. And, naturally, our family members are often our biggest critics, but having 5 kids, and various challenges, I realized there was a lot of wisdom that helped us as parents and of course helped our kids. The most important part was helping our daughters deal with stress for tests. It’s an easy read- you can skip to chapters on various topics and learn where you need help. Enjoy!

I highly suggest this book, it is an excellent guide for both the student and the parent. I am a mother and a student, so this book not only helps set the stage for my children’s success, but mine as well
